Wow. I am so sorry, everyone! Life sort of got busy over the last two months and my poor site has been so neglected. I even completely forgot about the caption contest that was running. *blush* Whoops!

Hopefully, I plan on getting things sorted out so I can spend some time working on the new upgrades for the site. I had planned to have them out and opened by now, but because of everything, the earliest you all will see them will be next month. But never fear! They WILL be here...eventually! ;)

Anyway, I finally chose the winner to the Caption Contest, and did some general clean-up around the site. There's a cast bio for VdT cast member Arabella Morton, who will be playing Gael. Unlike other non-book characters that have gotten cast bios here before, Gael is looking to end u having a significant role in the VdT movie, and may eventually be the first non-book character to get a character biography if her role in the movie pans out as I suspect it might. There's always a first time for everything, right? ;)

Well, I hope everyone enjoys the warmer weather that I'm sure is coming your way, and is looking forward to all the exciting things coming soon! This may seem like a very quite time, Narnia-wise, but things should be exploding soon. I expect a poster any week now, and we're supposed to be getting the teaser trailer sometime in April or May. That's not really that far away if you think about it!

Enjoy the quiet while you can get it, because Narnia life will be crazy soon... ;)

Happy New Year, everyone! 2009 was definitely very exciting for Narnia fans, what with Narnia being dumped right after last Christmas, and then picked up again in February, and then green-lit, and then filmed. Oh, and PC came out on DVD, too. 2010 will be even more exciting, with the movie actually being released in theaters at the end of the year. I mean, any year with a Narnia movie release in it has got to be pretty good. ;)

2009 was also an exciting year for Spareoom.net, too. The site has been growing by leaps and bounds, and during the summer I realized that in order to keep the growth going, Spareoom.net needed a new direction; a new outlet for it's creative energies.

It started with the opening of the Fan section, and various subtle but important changes made to the way the site looks, and is run. I've been teasing you about a super secret, exciting project coming soon, and in the interest of accountability (so I will actually hunker down and get it done), I'm going to tell you now. :)

This spring, Spareoom.net will be getting a brand-new forum. That's right; Spareoom.net is going interactive!

No, I won't try to compete with big sites like Narniaweb as far as movie news goes. That's not the kind of forum this will be. This will be a graphics-based forum; one that will help other graphic-makers by posting tutorials, techniques, and advice. There will also be sections for members to post their own graphics; their own "mini Spareoom.net". ;) We'll have more community events, including contests, sweepstakes and give-aways.

I'm so very excited to help usher Spareoom.net into a new 'era', and I really hope that at this time, next year, we can look back at the success and keep moving onward. :)

2010 is going to be a very, very big year. Are you ready? :D

ETA: Oh, I thought I might mention that, if you look over at the visitor counter on your left, we've gone over 400,000 visitors to Spareoom.net ever. That's a really impressive number considering that we were only at 100,000 in May of last year, so I want to thank ALL of you for your support, and making this site what it is today! I'm so thankful for each and every one of you, and I'm so glad I'm able to share this little bit of the web with you all. :)

Hey everyone! :D Long time no see, eh? I've been super busy this past month with NaNoWriMo, but it's been okay because there really hasn't been much to report on, Dawn Treader-wise. That is, up until a few days ago.

I now have three brand-new stills from the VdT movie up in the gallery! :D You can view them here. Filming is now completed on the movie, so now it's just time to sit back and watch as news and photos trickle in until the trailer is released sometime next spring!

I'm getting excited...what about you?
